Save Wild Learning Lab
Learning the curriculum. Solving local challenges. Building coexistence.

Save Wild Learning Lab is an ECOWICE education initiative that helps Tanzanian primary school teachers integrate environmental issues related to human–wildlife conflict into regular classroom subjects.
Instead of treating conservation education as an extra activity outside the school curriculum, the Lab supports teachers to use local challenges—such as human–elephant conflict around wildlife areas as real-life examples within the existing curriculum.
Through subject-specific labs in Language (English/Kiswahili), Mathematics, Geography, History, and Science, teachers receive practical guides, classroom activities, materials examples, and technical support to help students learn required subject content while understanding the environmental challenges affecting their communities.
The goal is to help students become strong learners, thoughtful problem-solvers, and future community leaders who can support development while living responsibly with wildlife
